On our journey of becoming what God has destine us to become, we will be challenged by different life issues, things that will discourage us, things that will distract us, things that will hinder us. When we result to fasting and prayer the divine hand of God comes in to make way for us to succeed.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Fasting to gain control over the flesh\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211;\u00a0 breaking besetting sins, Overcoming addiction, habits that are sinful. Alcohol, drugs, sexual sins.\u00a0Our bodies are God&#8217;s temple, it has to be holy for the Holy Spirit to indwell us to help us overcome the weaknesses in our flesh. Go before God in humility with fasting and prayer, talk to\u00a0God about your weakness and ask for His help. This is called &#8211; Disciple fast. Matthew 17:21; Mark 9:16-30; Isaiah 58 : 6\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Type of Fasting &#8211; dry fast, drinking eight glasses of water, \u00a0\u00a0it could be 6.00am &#8211;\u00a06.00pm for a day, three days or a week. Helpful scriptures Psalm 121 : 1 &#8211; 6; Roman 12 : 1 &#8211; 2 ; 1 Corinthians 6 : 12 &#8211; 20; 2 Corinthians 6 : 14 &#8211; 18<\/li>\n<li>Fast to break hard grounds, solve great problems, grace over financial problems. With God nothing is impossible, it will take faith and perseverance to overcome hindrances and distractions that is thrown daily on our ways. For we walk by faith and not by sight. When things don&#8217;t move the way it ought to go before God in Fasting and prayer. \u00a0 \u00a0This is called Ezra fast.
